Hi! My name is Emma and I’m a 19 year old student of communications. I love to write and share all my crazy ideas. I have zero qualifications that authorize me to give life advice, but… I’ll give it anyways.
I love the outdoors; camping, canoeing, hiking, biking, running, and lots of other activities take up most of my summers. There is nothing like being on top of a mountain or paddling down a rushing river or running through a gorgeous green trail. When I am in the city for school I miss the mountains and the fresh air, but the fast paced, busy lifestyle that being in the city offers adds a different kind of excitement and drive to my life.
I’m passionate about communication and love to study human interaction and how it impacts so many aspects of our lives. Life, to me, is all about figuring out how to be the happiest you can be and how to help others be the happiest they can be, and positive communication and interaction can make or break one’s ability to achieve that. The blog posts that I will share on this website offer the knowledge that I have gained over my 19 years that can hopefully be of some interest or benefit to you as readers.
I love my family and friends and am so thankful to have such a strong, loving support group in my life everyday. I would not even be a portion of the person I am today without them. Whether they have been in my life since birth (some even birthing me – hi mom!) or only for a few months, they have inexplicable impact on me every day, teaching me new lessons and supporting me through anything and everything life throws at me.
I love music! There is nothing like dancing and singing to your favourite songs, especially with the people you love. I like to sing in the shower, dance literally anywhere I go (sorry friends I have embarrassed in public), and I LOVE concerts. My favourite genre is definitely Electronic Dance Music; there’s nothing like the heavy bass contrasted with vocals or other melodic sound.

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men and women who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it.Muhammad Ali
